Health Psychology Group @ EHPS 2024

16.09.2024

From 3 to 6 September 2024, the Health Psychology Group attended the annual conference of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) which took place in Cascais, Portugal. Throughout the conference, our team shared their latest research:

Prof. Laura König presented her systematic review on inequalities in mobile interventions targeting weight-related behaviours in the symposium “Breaking barriers: Understanding health disparities through a lens of diversity and gender” with colleagues from the University of Linz.

Dr. Theresa Koch shared the results of her latest Fake Food study as an ECR Spotlight Talk.

Theresa Wagner was a speaker in the symposium “Improving inclusivity in research and interventions for disadvantaged, marginalized and/or vulnerable people” presenting barriers, facilitators, and needs of people with intellectual disabilities for an inclusive colorectal cancer screening programme.

Dr. Alea Ruf, member of this year’s Scientific Committee, shared preliminary findings of a digital self-monitoring study, a collaboration with Prof. Becca Krukowski of the University of Virginia and Dr. Max Western of the University of Bath.

Beyond that, our team actively contributed to several Lab Series, such as “Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in health psychology research: Development of a practical guide” and “Stress and health behavior: Avenues for future research and collaboration”. Leaving EHPS 2024 feeling inspired, the team is already looking forward to EHPS 2025 in Groningen, for which Prof. Laura König serves as the co-chair of the Scientific Committee.
